Wines

Winemaking is a constant learning process; no vintage is the same.  I embrace the challenge each vintage brings (with the exception of ever-increasing number of grey hairs on my head)!

Choosing the first wine to make was easy - Syrah!  Long my favorite varietal. I pondered its name for quite awhile. It occurred to me that this flagship wine stemmed directly from my decision to embrace winemaking - a major life decision.

Suddenly the name became clear (plus, it's taken from one of my favorite songs of all time - "It's my life" by Bon Jovi.  "Open Highway" shows my minimal approach to winemaking.  Letting the wine be what is going to be is my aim; it's not my place to alter its beauty.  The end result is 100% Syrah, 100% Delicious.
